Gilbert's beloved Hale Centre Theatre presents the ABBA-fueled Broadway hit Mamma Mia! — a joyful story of a daughter, her mother, and three possible fathers on a Greek island. Family-friendly with a live band. Tickets $28–$62. Matinee and evening performances available. Book early — shows sell out fast.
Gilbert's annual Memorial Day ceremony honoring the men and women who gave their lives in service to the country. The ceremony features a color guard, keynote speaker, musical tributes, and a moment of silence. Free and open to the public. Arrive early for seating.
Kick off Gilbert's summer reading program with a free family celebration featuring storytellers, craft stations, a book swap, and special guest readers. Kids who sign up for the summer reading challenge receive a free book and prize pack. All ages welcome. Free admission.
Join Gilbert's volunteer naturalists for free guided bird walks at the award-winning Riparian Preserve. Late May and early June bring summer residents — look for black-necked stilts, least bitterns, and vermilion flycatchers. Binoculars recommended. Free admission. Meet at the main parking lot entrance.
Agritopia's monthly farm-to-table dinner series returns with an early summer harvest menu featuring ingredients picked from the farm that morning. Four-course dinner with wine pairings and live acoustic music under the stars. Tickets $90/person. Reservations required — seating is limited to 40 guests.
The monthly First Friday Art Walk returns to the Heritage District with local artists, live music, gallery openings, and special promotions at downtown businesses. June's theme spotlights East Valley photographers. Dog-friendly and free to attend.
Gilbert's summer youth sports leagues kick off the week of June 9. Leagues include baseball, softball, soccer, flag football, and basketball for ages 5–14. Registration closed May 15 — contact Gilbert Parks & Recreation about late openings. Season runs through August.
Regular Gilbert Town Council meeting open to the public. Agenda expected to include updates on South Gilbert development projects, water infrastructure planning, and the FY2027 budget. Public comment period available. Meeting also streamed live on the Town of Gilbert YouTube channel.
Gilbert's free outdoor summer concert series returns to Freestone Park for Thursday nights through July. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic. Food trucks on-site each week. All ages welcome. Check Gilbert Parks & Recreation's website for the weekly performer lineup.
The Queen Creek Olive Mill hosts free olive oil and balsamic vinegar tastings every weekend. Tour the working mill, browse the farm store, and enjoy lunch at the on-site restaurant. A favorite East Valley day trip for families and foodies. Free admission; tastings complimentary.
The Heritage District comes alive on Friday evenings through the summer with extended restaurant hours, sidewalk seating, live street performers, and pop-up vendors. A great way to explore Gilbert's dining and nightlife scene. Free to attend — just show up and explore.
